Nestled on the rooftop of Meydene, Le Douar invites guests on a sensory escape into the heart of traditional Moroccan cuisine. This open-air restaurant, located within M Avenue, offers more than just a meal, it delivers an immersive experience deeply rooted in history, flavor, and cultural legacy.

■ Brand Identity Design
As Art Director, I developed a visual identity that bridges modernity and authenticity. The logotype uses a refined serif typeface that evokes cultural elegance while maintaining a contemporary edge. The main color — a deep burgundy brown — was chosen to reflect a sense of nostalgia and sophistication, capturing both the rootedness and forward-looking spirit of Meydene.

■ Print Collateral
I created a variety of branded items such as business cards, staff caps, water bottles, event badges, and tote bags. Each piece was designed to reflect Meydene’s refined identity while ensuring consistency across everyday use and cultural events.

■ Large-Format Visuals
I designed a series of impactful large-format visuals, both within the space and across the city. This included interior signage for exhibitions and orientation, as well as high-visibility billboards, notably a giant panel at Marrakech airport and a large installation at the entrance of M Avenue.
■ Social Media
I developed a refined and immersive digital aesthetic to reflect the on-site experience. Content focused on cultural storytelling, behind-the-scenes moments, and event highlights, all crafted to engage audiences and reinforce Meydene’s identity online.
■ Website Design
The Meydene website was conceived as a digital gateway to the physical space. I designed a dark, intuitive interface where users can explore the exhibition themes, cultural agenda, ticketing, and rooftop experience. Subtle transitions and warm tones help echo the immersive feeling of the real place, even before visiting.
■ Teaser Video
To launch the space and build anticipation, I directed a teaser video blending abstract motion design with real footage. The goal was to evoke curiosity while capturing the essence of the Meydene experience, artistic, immersive, and emotionally connected to Moroccan identity.
■ Result
The Meydene brand is now positioned as a cultural landmark at the crossroads of art, technology, and tradition. Through a strong and coherent visual system, both digital and physical, the project successfully captures the essence of Marrakech while offering a new kind of cultural immersion for locals and international visitors alike.
